I have been around in the web development and corporate industries with programming mainly PHP. Through most of these I have learned many different databases and languages.
However, most of my emphasis in programming has been modular programming and security. Particularily since I am back to the web development area, a focus on securing applications and doing security audits on new clients web applications. You would be suprised at the vulnerabilties that many programmers do not understand and do not protect against.
My experience in development has been 6 years in PHP and I am a Zend Certified Engineer. I have also program ASP, ColdFusion, Java, C++. As far as databases go we have MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle and MSSQL. My choice of development being PHP and MySQL, well MySQL since version 5!
Many of the companies that I have worked for I had ownership involved. In early 2005 I moved to a corporate company and decided to move back to a smaller company late in the year as the company moved to a different location.
