Professional Bio

Mr. Thompson has over twenty years of software development experience, in roles ranging from software developer to database architect to executive leadership. Geoff has led successful software development projects ranging from mission-critical mainframe brokerage applications, to client-server franchise- management solutions, to pharmaceutical sales force automation (SFA) solutions that integrate the Internet with handheld technology from both Microsoft and Palm.

As Director of Technology & Consulting Services at Visalign, LLC, in New York, Geoff was responsible for all eBusiness professional services delivered to Manhattan clients. While at Visalign, he developed a strategic plan to provide complete eBusiness Solutions Delivery capabilities at the branch level, including resource and financial planning, pre-sales support, infrastructure planning and training and readiness. He was instrumental in winning a major consulting engagement with one of the largest international banking organizations in the world, providing enterprise-level gap analysis, functional assessment, and solutions development recommendations for their domestic eBrokerage division. He was responsible for winning a $1+ million contract with a major pharmaceutical company to develop a web-based solution to manage clinical trials.

As Solutions Architect for the Healthcare Division of Acxiom Corporation in Stamford, CT, Geoff facilitated a Strategic Planning initiative, leading to the development of a three-year divisional business plan for providing innovative technology solutions to the pharmaceutical industry. He was also Lead Architect and developer, leading a five-member team to deliver a collaborative web solution for the Medical Liaisons division of a major pharmaceutical company.

In 1998, Geoff toured nationally with Microsoft during their 'Enterprise Discovery Tour' demonstrating a sales force automation system his team developed for a pharmaceutical client, one of the first production vertical solutions deployed on the Windows CE platform.

Throughout his career, Geoff has been a thought leader and key contributor to software development Best Practices and project management methodology. In addition to his executive leadership skills, Geoff continues to maintain the highest skills as a technologist, and is expert at 'bridging the gap between technology and business.'
